How to read an e-mail address

Let's say....johnsmith@hotmail.com, we read: johnsmith  at  hotmail dot com ....don't forget!

Telling the Time

We can say:

It's eleven thirty (11:30)
half past eleven
half eleven (colloquial English)

It's quarter to eight   (7:45)
seven forty-five

It's quarter past one.... (13.15)
one fifteeen
quarter after one (USA)

It's ten past six
six ten
ten after six (USA)

podemos omitir la palabra minutes si el número es múltiplo de 5.....ten past six...pero debemos decir: It's eleven minutes past six por ejemplo.

Para diferenciar entre las 06:00 y las 18:00, podemos decir en inglés hablado It's 6 o'clock in the morning or six o'clock in the evening, en un lenguaje más formal se utiliza am/pm   (ante meridiem and post meridiem).
